Seven years ago the folks at fashion brand
Diesel
decided to start an international music contest for unsigned acts. Giving young musicians an international stage to perform on and a massive amount of exposure, the competition is now open again! In the past
Diesel-U-Music
has produced talent such as
Mylo
and
The Infadels,
and the winners from last year’s competition have also gone on to sign record deals.
Akin to an international
JJJ Unearthed
, all you have to do is upload your songs and details about your bands with the entries in by May 13th. The categories are split across rock/indie, urban/hip-hop & electronic/dance. The shortlist will be announced on May 23 with the public being able to cast their votes throughout the month of June. The winners will be announced during the final event in London (yes, London!) next October, as you will be performing live in front of an exclusive industry audience.
