According to ‘The Beat Goes On,’ one of the new (and recently leaked) tracks from Madonna’s upcoming album, the mother of re-invention is on a quest to “do something different.” On this particular song, that means trading vocals with ubiquitous super-producer Pharrell over one of his signature guitar-riff-and-hand-clap-rhythm combos that may remind you of a huge hit by one of her other new collaborators. That said, it’s definitely a world away from the ’80s disco vibe of her ‘Confessions’ era.
