Red Carpet Treatment for Duran Duran


Duran Duran have revealed that their new album will be called ‘Red Carpet Massacre’ and it should hit the shops on October 1.



The follow up to 2004’s comeback album Astronaut features Justin Timberlake and Timbaland and working titles include ‘Last Man Standing’, ‘Box Full O’Honey’, ‘The Valley’, ‘Falling Down’ and ‘Skin Divers’.



Foo Fighters Name Next Album



Foo Fighters have revealed to Billboard that the title of their next long player could be called ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace’.



No release date has been set but the follow up to 2005’s In Your Honour has working titles of include ‘Let It Die’, ‘Erase Replace’, ‘The Pretender’ and ‘Cheer Up Boys, Your Makeup Is Running’.



New Metallica Album Due Next February



Metallica could release the eagerly awaited follow up to 2003’s St Anger in February 2008. Speaking about the new album in a recent interview, drummer Lars Ulrich says that “It’s probably a little more dynamic, and a little more varied, and it has lots of different nutty Metallica stuff on it.”



Fans To Choose Dylan Track List



Sony BMG will release a new Bob Dylan best-of on October 1 entitled
Dylan

. The album will be available in two versions: one single 18 track CD and a 51 track triple CD, The track listing for the compilation will be decided by fans who vote for their favourite Dylan tracks on www.dylan07.com.



Sony BMG boss John Ingrassia said “Each new generation eventually discovers what millions of people the world over have known for decades: That Bob Dylan is a singular artist whose songs and recordings represent the very best that music has to offer. This ‘Dylan’ set will provide a comprehensive introduction to an important body of work that continues to impact our culture and attract multitudes of new fans each year.”
