The Killers Triumph at Glastonbury

The Killers headline performance on the Pyramid stage at the 2007 Glastonbury Festival will go down in history as one of the greats. The LA rockers delighted the crowd by playing hits from their first two albums Hot Fuss and Sam’s Town as well as a cover of Joy Division’s ‘Shadowplay’. Elsewhere on the Pyramid stage, Lily Allen, who performed two sets in one day, covered BlondieВ’s ‘Heart of Glass’ and was joined on stage by Lynval Golding and Terry Hall of The Specials for a rendition of the bands classic hit single ‘Gangsters’. Paul Weller treated the crowd to a career spanning set and storming version of The Jams ‘A Town Called Malice’, The Kooks, Dirty Pretty Things and Paolo Nutini all borrowed heavily from their debut albums.

On the Other Stage the Stooges featuring the legendary Iggy Pop played a greatest hits set, The Editors and Maximo Park plugged their second albums and Pete Doherty and Kate Moss kissed on stage during Babyshambles’ set.
