Singer/model Tila Tequila is the first musician to approach superstar status largely through a network of MySpace fans, but it now seems that the sexy cyber-diva is biting the hand that feeds her. TMZ reported that the former Playboy.com model, who has 1.7 million MySpace “friends” (far more than any other musician) and a no. 1 single on iTunes, lashed out at the service for forcing her to remove a particular media player form her page. “I feel like they’ve become so corporate now and won’t even allow me to do fun stuff on my page anymore such as post up cool new widgets from other websites,” she wrote. “MySpace will now only allow you to use MYSPACE things and that means you can not find other ways to promote yourself. In other words … you’re just stuck here and only here.” She continued by asking MySpace to not “sell out” or “turn into a corporate evil monster.” Ouch! Go to TMZ to see how the drama unfolded. Lucky for us, the femme-phenom was much more chipper when we recently chatted with her for an upcoming AIM interview. In fact, Tila was so friendly, we probably should have been wearing protection. A salacious sample:

And it only gets steamier from there. Check back in a couple weeks for the full interview. In the meantime, tell us what you think about this whole MySpace mess. Is Tila overstepping her bounds, or is the community’s popularity turning it into a virtual prison?
